LEGO® Little Caesars Arena Unveiled at Red Wings Game

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 22, 2018 – LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan has created a magnificent 6-foot-long LEGO replica of Little Caesars Arena that was unveiled during the first intermission of the Detroit Red Wings vs. Carolina Hurricanes.

The Little Caesars Arena LEGO model consists of 30,000 LEGO Bricks, complete with interior and exterior structural detail, over 1,000 windows, amenities and interchangeable floor plans for the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons. It took more than 60 design hours and 100 construction hours to complete and is populated by more than 600 Minifigures. The build is filled with lifelike details from the tiny Red Wings tilework on the front of the building to the giant rooftop mosaic of the Little Caesars logo.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan partnered with Olympia Entertainment to host the unveil event at Little Caesars Arean, where the model will be temporarily housed in the Northeast corner of the concourse by the Gordie Howe statue and Chevrolet entrance.

“The excitement around the new Little Caesars Arena inspired us to add the venue to our MINILAND Detroit cityscape by building a LEGO replica of the arena,” said Debbie Gibb, marketing manager for LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan and SEA LIFE Michigan. “It was a great experience to be able to partner with Olympia Entertainment to host this fun unveil event for Detroit Red Wings fans, LEGO enthusiasts and the community. The LEGO Little Caesars Arena build will be housed in the concourse for the next month for all fans to enjoy and will then be permanently installed in our attraction at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets.”
